Temperature Dependence of Electrical Resistance in Graphite Films Deposited on Glass and Low-Density Polyethylene by Spray Technology

Graphite lacquer was simply sprayed on glass and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) substrates to obtain large area films. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images, Raman spectra, X Ray Diffraction (XRD) spectra current-voltage characteristics show that at room temperature, the as-deposited films different have similar morphological, structural electrical properties. The morphological characterization reveals are made of overlapped graphite platelets (GP), each composed nanoplatelets with average sizes a few tens nanometers about forty graphene layers. thermoresistive properties GP deposited investigated in temperature range from 20 120 °C very behaviors. For substrate, resistance film decreases monotonically as function by 7%; for LDPE firstly increases more than one order magnitude 20–100 range, then suddenly between 105 115 °C. These trends related thermal expansion and, LDPE, also phase transitions occurring evidenced differential scanning calorimetry measurements.
